The warrior prince is fallen
Succumbed by a weapon of sin
He fought the good fight long and hard
But alas, his body did him in

The warrior prince is fallen
His crown heavy on his head
Robbers and thieves surround him
To claim the victory of his death bed

The warrior prince is fallen
His body lay in wait
To be dressed for the burial procession
Of what royalty was born to partake

Dressed in purple royal
His throng solemnly looked on
Remembering his life’s journey
And its triumphant song

There lies within his bosom
The sweet betrayal’s kiss
That suppressed the refrain of his praise
Of a heroic departing bliss

How can you declare to love a gem so rare
And not value his mind
To allow the enemies flag to fly
Above your beloveds enshrine

The warrior prince is fallen
The earth mourns at his departure
The enemy delights at the pitiful sight
Of the throngs confused parade

Still the voices raised in triumphant ode
Told of his love and strength of old
And the voices rose in triumphant song
Gave victorious praise of the battles he won

The warrior prince if fallen
Now the enemy lies in wait
To prey upon the betrayers lair
And minds of the ingrates

Our hearts will not forget
Our minds will not stumble
For we know that the life light you shone
Will shine through death’s rubble

The warrior, the prince
May your body rest in peace
And your soul be uplifted
To reign with the departed warriors
Heaven’s beloved and gifted

You tug, I pull

The clips, the flicks

Intense

Distant

Insane

The pain

Its all in the name

Our emotional argentine tango

Leaves us tattered and scarred

No holds barred

You tugged in my heart strings

With your wit and your charm

I didn't see it coming

Your love had me disarmed

But laying beneath the surface

Was a different point of view

Your heart was willing

But your mind was confused

The pull

It was necessary

If I was to survive

The tugs of your love

You created inside

That's why I rendered

The clip words of truth to your ear

To turn your mind to me

Or make you disappear

Instead my clever tongue

Was met with the flicks of yours

That tore apart the heart

You claim to adore

And now I'm emotionally bent out of shape

Because of the mess our tug pulls create

Intense,

Heart wrenching,

Insane

How can we keep going like this

Complete yet deranged

Words left unspoken

Spoken yet unsaid

Distant

Is that the best for us

It seems so un-led

We're at a stand still

Neither one to yield

Yet love binds us

In this ordeal

Insane

The name of this pain

do we still tango

Or let fate reign

My Release Prayer

Father,
I come to You on bended knee
Bearing the wounds that have hurt me
Needing from You Your healing touch
Cause I know You love me so very much

Help me release all this pain I feel
Help me to forgive so I can heal
So I hold on to Your promise to bear
All my burdens You said You would share

I know this notion of forgiveness is something I can't do alone
To love unconditionally is hard on my own
So I'm drawing from your strength to be a better me
And pray that Your love will open my eyes to see

To keep me on the right path and from doing wrong
I know that Your love will make me strong
But I don't want this prayer to stop here
I want it to extend to the one who hurt me so dear

He needs to know the depth and fullness of Your grace
That keeps retaliation from blowing up in his face
Help him learn that forgiveness is the key
In order for anyone to be genuinely happy

I owe all thanks and praise to You
For keeping me sane and blessed too
Because You told me I'm the apple of Your eye
And on You I can totally rely

So Father,
I cast all my cares, worries, negativity on You
Thanking You for positively making me anew
Help me now go forth in Your love
Keeping my head over the stress and rise above

Father, you have given unconditional love to me
To extend to those I cross on my journey
Help me not lose focus or lose my way
Cause I know it will be a serious price to pay

All praises to You
And all honor too
For giving me peace indeed
In my time of need
Thank you, forever and always
